IMPORTS
  • Sourced credits to facilitate import programmes, which culminated in the enlisting of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), Bank for Housing and Construction (now defunct) as an issuing Bank, on the USDA, CCC, GSM 102 and 103 programmes. Assisted the Amalgamated Bank Ltd for same.
  • Currently, has signed Memorandum of Understanding and Contracts with some companies in Ghana to ship at least 25,000 metric tonnes of Rice to them annually.
  • Consulted for Delta Foods Ltd, and participated in evacuation and sale of 22,000 metric tonnes of maize (corn) to the Government of Ghana in 1997 , as a part of its research implementation into trading in large consignments of goods and for strategic reserves. The presence of the commodity as a buffer stock suppressed inflation considerably to the extent that Ghana achieved single digit (9.7%) inflation that year.   • Assisted Delta Foods Ltd. in the sale of 12,500 MT of rice imported from India in 1996, as part of her marketing trials on imported rice other than US # 5 rice. Sale of this was slow compared to rice of US origin. Total exposure was US$4 million. 
  • Secured a contract to Ship 37,500 Metric tonnes of sugar annually to some reputable Ghanaian companies who are also enlisted with Dan and Bradstreet, USA.
  • Developed a contract with the leading cashew nut marketing company in the USA to market processed cashew nuts from Ghana to be sold on the USA market starting 2007.
  • Sourced for 12,500 MT of sugar from suppliers, arranged a bridge financing for the transaction for GNPA Ltd at a contract price of US $300 per metric tonne ex Tema Warehouse in the first quarter of 2004.
