Uniex Ghana Limited has been engaged in research and pilot works in Financial Engineering and Management Consulting services, Commodity trading, Construction and Farming. She has thus used her findings and provided Consulting services and Trading in Commodities; rice and sugar. She has also established Cashew farms to feed a planned cashew processing plant.
Mindful of this, the company has from inception been cautious of the need to operate Profitably and ensure sustainable growth. Uniex has ensured that she is not oblivious of a need to operate in a country with (a) Congenial Political and Business Environment (b) Conducive Legal Regimes within Good Location, (c) backed by Realistic Intent and Quality Input.
Uniex has commenced many consulting works. Amongst these are;
- ROADS & HIGHWAYS, CIVIL and ENERGY
Consultancy for Civil and Mechanical Works including the construction of toll operated roads through the Ghana Highways Authority on state roads are ongoing. NEGOTIATIONS are ongoing for the Accra – Kumasi Highway dual carriage turn-key construction. Uniex would be partnering an international construction firm to execute this.
- Uniex assisted FARROE ATLANTIC CO. to establish 75 MEGAWATTS power plant agreement with Ghana government in 1997. Uniex fee receivable in the year 2006 under this contract from Faroe is about US$ 5 million.
- Uniex is also consulting for QED REFINERY in the establishment of a US $2Billion oil refinery in Ghana. This project has received the consent of the International Finance Corporation IFC, a member of the World Bank.
- Uniex is currently consulting for ROCKSHELL INTERNATIONAL in a US40million CIVIL project suit in which the indebtedness to Uniex is in excess of US$ 5million.
- University of Cape Coast Projects ,
Two projects;
- University of Cape Coast Medical School estimated at US $450 million and
- University of Cape Coast Faculty of Law are to be constructed commencing by the close of 2006 after conclusion on the funding arrangements. Uniex as consultants also have mandate to source the funds and contractors needed for the turn-key projects.
- Established Management Consultancy agreements with some banks in Ghana.
- Commenced preparation of the company’s industrial land at Tema for the construction of modern cashew processing plant. Site number IND/A/3/9, Tema.
