Dr. Asuako-Ntomo Atakora - (director/chief operations officer)

Dr. Asuako-Ntomo Atakora is a Director of Uniex (Gh) Limited responsible for Consulting Services and Corporate Planing . He is Ghanaian by nationality. Married with five children. He is also
the Chief Operations Officer of Uniex Gh. Ltd.
Dr. Atakora holds a Post Doctoral Certificate in Development Evaluation from the Carlton
University, Ottawa, Canada and the World Bank – 2002. He holds two Ph Ds (Doctor of
Philosophy) These are a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration from Columbia
Pacific University, San Rafael, Ca. U. S. A. in 1992, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Political
Science from the Atlanta University, Atlanta, Ga., in 1984. In 1978, Dr. Atakora had his
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration at Mercers University, Atlanta, Ga., with a
Masters in Public Administration in 1981 at the Atlanta University, Atlanta, Ga.
His non certificate training include his participation in many international Workshops
and Seminars organised by the World Bank on Evaluating Capacity Development for
Africa, September 2000 and many others.
His working experience includes:
- 2005-date, A member of the GIMPA Council,

- 2003, Executive Director, Centre for Policy Management, Monitoring and Evaluation.

- 2001 to date, Senior Consultant/ Senior Lecturer, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA)
- 1997 to 2000, Member of the Board of Directors of Ghana Post Company
- 1996 to 2000, Deputy Chief of Staff and Presidential Staffer at the office of the President of the Republic of Ghana. Served in many capacities during this period as well as attending Cabinet meetings, National Economic Management meetings, including functioning as the Chairman of the Committee for Resettling Africans in the Diaspora.
- 1995, Functioned as the Special Assistant to the Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs of the Republic of Ghana, at the Presidency.
- 1995, Operated also as a member of the Board of Directors of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation.
- 1981 to 1994, Operated a Self-Insurance Group in Atlanta, Ga., Worked as a Corporate and Industrial Insurance Member. Established Star Incorporated, Atlanta Ga., and functioned as Scheduling Manager and Vice Chairman of the Board.
Dr. Atakora has Forty-Six (46) different Research Material and Publications to his name. He has been the Lead Consultant to the International Labour Organisation/ IPEC on Child Labour and Public Policy in Ghana from year 2002 to date. He still consults for the World Bank and GIMPA on some projects.
